Rick Bruggeman

Rick’s began his career in hospitality at a well-known German restaurant in Chicago at just 14 years old. Chef Rick moved to northwest Indiana as the head chef at The Spa restaurant and a few years later become the chef at Pottawattomie Country Club, where his popularity as a fine chef grew among local diners. At the club, Chef Rick offered members and guests world class experiences in fine dining. As head chef at Patrick’s Grille he continues that tradition because for Rick the culinary profession is more than a job – it’s his passion.

General Manager

Julie Krause

From General Manager to head of Patrick’s Catering and Events, Julie wears many hats at Patrick’s Grille. With over 20 years in the dining and event planning industry, Julie will make sure your event is a memorable one. Patrick’s Catering and Events meets the demand for high-quality catering services in the area.

Julie developed her career in the industry at Pottawattamie Country Club in Michigan City, starting on the business side and then as Manager of special events and member services. She then gained further experience in Banquet Sales at both Blue Chip and Ameristar Casinos.

Working with the catering staff, Julie is the person who will make sure your needs are met and the job done to perfection. “No event is too big or too small for us to work with,” she says, “Just because we offer a high-end experience doesn’t mean we’re not willing to work within a tighter budget. We can make it as fancy or as simple as you like it.”

Patrick Wilkins

Patrick’s Grille was established by local entrepreneur Patrick Wilkins. Patrick started in the business world of air compressors, working for Sullair for several years until starting his own company, Boss Industries. As Boss grew Patrick was required to travel all over the world, and through his travel developed his love of restaurants and cuisine. He is pleased to bring his favorites to Michigan City to share with his friends and family.

A business man at heart, Patrick surrounded himself with a staff who knew the restaurant industry from the inside out, and as a team set forward to make Patrick’s Grille a success and meet the need for a high-end dining experience in Michigan City. He prides Patrick’s on serving a high-quality fine-dining experience while providing a comfortable environment, welcoming friends to gather for any occasion.
